It's to long ago! Some nice things coming up, all is fine overhere, most present working together with Ian Brodie. We're making a compilation, soon to be found on Ian's facebook. There are also contacts with Paul Raymond Gregory, Ivan Cavini and Ted Nasmith...I'll keep you posted!

Peter Jacksons' Weta workshop uses the soundtrack I made for their podcast episode 17. In the clip you'll hear Daniel Falconer (who designed Treebeard for the LOTR trilogy!). Hope to work some more in Wellington NZ in future...!

Born of Hope Testshoot Scenes added!

Just added to my site: some testshoot scenes for Born of Hope, click here, or go to www.arjankiel.com. Composers could download three scenes from the Born of Hope site to showcase their work for the Born of Hope music team to get involved in the production. I asked Kate Madison, director of Born of Hope, to use these scenes for my promotion, and it wasn't a problem at all. Thanks Kate!

The first scene is called Daughters Hand. It's a test shoot scene from 2006. Others will follow soon!

In august 2010 there will be a Festival in the Shire, in Wales. I've contacted Mark, who's organizing this festival. There are plans to do something with orchestra and music of Martin Romberg and me...Exiting! There will be a lot of music at the festival, and ofcourse more! Here's my entry on the site. I found a producer who wants to work with me to organise performances with Jon! We're now negotiating with orchestras and choirs. HERE you'll find the (Dutch) promoteaser. This weekend I'm gonna meet Jon's manager, and I'm having a concert visit and afterwards a meet and greet with YES! You will see the pics right here.

There are plans that Jon and I will perform next year in my area called Fryslan. New work and some Yes-classics, all translated into the Frisian language, arranged by me for orchestra and choir. I'll keep you posted on this one!

Well, it's a bit quiet lately right here. Not at my studio! Stringquartets, a new film (!), new commercials...Soon I will put some new music on my site. I finished the four part symfonic piece with Jon Anderson. Now we're looking for an orchestra! There's also a great project coming up, a piece that I will write about mystic places of my homegrounds, together with Jon, local poetrists, and a great choir and orchestra...Keep posted, and as allways, feel free to contact me at info(at)arjankiel.nl!

In february this year, I sent my demo to mr. Doug Adams, writer of the upcoming book The Music of the Lord of the Rings Films, and writer of the booklets accompaning the Complete Recordings of the music of LOTR. Two of his reactions: 'I have been enjoying your music for a couple of days now. Very well done, sir!' and: 'The good folks of ...are in the process of assembling some LOTR anniversary videos for an upcoming presentation. I've recommended you to them as someone who can write original LOTR-style music.' I'm very honoured!

It's in the air that the four part symfonic piece "The Children", written by Jon Anderson and me for orchestra and choir, will have it's premiere in october this year in San Francisco! I'm very busy scoring the whole piece. Keep posted!

Finally, the Arjan Kiel Music DVD/CD demo with little booklet is ready! You can see the booklet HERE, and also on the right, in the slideshow. Doug Adams and Wingnut Films are interested to receive some demos, so now I can send a few. If your interested too in this demo, please let me KNOW!

I also made a few short teasers for Born of Hope, wich they liked a lot! Later more about that. Keep posted!
