Jon Anderson & me news

There are plans that Jon and I will perform next year in my area called Fryslan. New work and some Yes-classics, all translated into the Frisian language, arranged by me for orchestra and choir. I'll keep you posted on this one!

New developments...

Well, it's a bit quiet lately right here. Not at my studio! Stringquartets, a new film (!), new commercials...Soon I will put some new music on my site. I finished the four part symfonic piece with Jon Anderson. Now we're looking for an orchestra! There's also a great project coming up, a piece that I will write about mystic places of my homegrounds, together with Jon, local poetrists, and a great choir and orchestra...Keep posted, and as allways, feel free to contact me at info(at)arjankiel.nl!

mr. Doug Adams' reaction on my demo

In february this year, I sent my demo to mr. Doug Adams, writer of the upcoming book The Music of the Lord of the Rings Films, and writer of the booklets accompaning the Complete Recordings of the music of LOTR. Two of his reactions: 'I have been enjoying your music for a couple of days now. Very well done, sir!' and: 'The good folks of ...are in the process of assembling some LOTR anniversary videos for an upcoming presentation. I've recommended you to them as someone who can write original LOTR-style music.' I'm very honoured!
